Katelyn Bitney has made a life for herself here in Grand Ledge. She grew up Grand Ledge, and now is raising her two children here too!

 

Katelyn has been a hairstylist at Profiles since August of 2013. As a hairstylist, she offers haircuts, hair color, highlights, and waxing. Katelyn also does nails! When it comes to nails she does shellac, manicures, and pedicures.

 

Cosmetology has been a lifelong interest for Katelyn, she said “I remember being interested in doing hair from the time I was a kid! I used to style the other kids’ hair at day care”. Since then, she’s taken the necessary steps to become a hairstylist by going to cosmetology school at Excel in Lansing.

 

Growing up in Grand Ledge, Katelyn was already familiar with Profiles. She said, “I went to work at Profiles because I grew up getting my hair done there and already knew the owners!” When asked what her favorite moment she said, “… If I had to choose a few from over the years it’s probably any Christmas party or any event outside of work where we can actually spend time together outside the salon.”

 

“… I can honestly say I’ve never enjoyed a work place more than I’ve enjoyed my time working here. It’s my second home.” Katelyn said.
